Die "Cap Sizun" ist ein Sloup Langoustier, ein Nachbau eines Langustenfangschiffes von 1990-91. Sie dient als Museumsschiff und repräsentiert die Stadt Audierne. Sie segelt mit Chartergästen an der bretonischen Küste entlang und nimmt an Seglerveranstaltungen wie in Brest und Douarnenez teil. Leider habe ich noch immer keinen Törn mit ihr gemacht...aber beim nächsten Besuch!
The "Cap Sizun" is a Sloup Langoustier, a replica of a lobster fishing vessel built in 1990-91. It serves as a museum ship and represents the city of Audierne. She sails with charter guests on the Brittany coast and takes part in sailing events in Brest and Douarnenez. Unfortunately I still have not made a trip with her ... but the next visit will come!

Hopefully I have the name of the mushroom right. If I'm correct it's a pretty deadly mushroom. After feeling fairly sick for a few days you appear to recover but really it's destroying your liver. It has been involved in the majority of human deaths from mushroom poisoning, possibly including the deaths of Roman Emperor Claudius and Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI.
I had no idea what I was looking at when I was taking the photograph. These were only babies. Luckily I had no temptation to eat them.
Over the past four years my wife and I have been very fortunate to have started discovering the US, especially the Southern States and their legendary hospitality. Like many before us, we fell head over heels in love with New Orleans, and plan to return again as soon as it’s possible. The thing is, the more you see of the South, the more you notice the confederate flags and now, the MAGA caps. Weirdly, I found this new on TradeMe (NZ Auction site), and bought it, not as a souvenir, but as a sign of the times.
