14-18 October 2019 - ASK Capacity Building Domain team conducted a three-days workshop on Result based management(RBM) focusing on planning, monitoring and Reporting for Bihar Dalit Vikas Samiti (BDVS) at Patna, Bihar.
Various topics including result focused project cycle management, Situation Analysis, Problem Analysis, Solution Analysis, process of identification of results, indicator, Log frame Analysis(LFA), Concept of Monitoring, types of monitoring, process of monitoring, case study progress report etc were discussed during this workshop.

09-13 December 2019 - our Capacity Building Domain team facilitated a 5-days training on Micro Enterprise Development (MED) for all team members of project 'Integrated Model of Sustainable Henna Cultivation' implemented by AT-GRASSROOTS SOCIETY (ATG) and Arpan Seva Sansthan in Dhakdi village, Sojat block, Pali district, Rajasthan. The project is supported by L’Oreal and has received grant from ASK.
The main objective of this intensive training was to build capacities of project teams on the concept of micro enterprise, to conduct market assessment, select enterprise and entrepreneur, develop of Business Development Plan (BDP) for the farm working in the intervention village.

أنهى فريق برنامج بناء القدرات المجتمعية في دائرة العلاقات المسكونية والتنمية تدريب 28 متطوعاً من المجتمع المحلي في محافظة السويداء، وذلك ضمن مشروع "سلامتنا مسؤوليتنا" والذي يهدف إلى تدريب مئة متطوع من المجتمع المحلي حول التصرف السليم والآمن في الحالات الطارئة، وذلك من خلال استهداف مجموعات من مختلف الفئات العمرية والاجتماعية ، و تزويدهم بمعلومات علمية و عملية يستطيعون الاستفادة منها في تطوير مهاراتهم ، وإعطاءهم آليات التدخل السليم في الحالات الطارئة مثل :"الحرائق و إطلاق النار و الانفجارات" بالإضافة إلى تدريبهم على الإسعافات الأولية للإصابات.

Use of cold storage facilities called cold storage warehousing is growing very fast with a rising concern of people about controlled cost, availability on demand, comfort, freshness of food items etc. Cold stores are carefully designed to meet the client’s needs and purposes. From project management to the final construction of the facility, every little detail is completed. A project designed for the food and drink industry includes the following services: food manufacturing facilities, chiller and freezer cold stores, drainage installation, hygienic floor finishes, service and preventative maintenance and many others. Cold storage humidification systems afford the people in charge of food transport the ability to control the temperature, moisture and air quality surroun ding the food. The appropriate temperatures and humidification directly affects food safety. Commercial humidification used during food transport and in grocery store storage facilities, ensures that food items reach the shelves as close to ripe, fresh and healthy as possible. If the food we eat is a high quality then oue overall health can follow suit. India has around 6,300 cold storage facilities, with a capacity of 30.11 million tones. However some 75-80 per cent of these refrigerated warehouses are suitable only to store potatoes, a commodity that produces only 20 per cent of agricultural revenue. Therefore India needs expansion of cold storage infrastructure in an affordable, reliable and sustainable way to increase the contribution of agriculture to the economy. India’s investment in cold chain is projected to be $15 billion over the next five years. The organization found the only 10-11 per cent of the fruits and vegetables produced in India use cold storage. Storage capacity needs to be increased by 40 per cent to avoid wastage.
