I don't know if this person was a painter, or just loved by one.
The desert has not claimed these cheery canvas offerings yet. The grave is unmarked, aside from a pile of stones, and the (acrylic-painted) sky and sunflowers, and other paintings I can't see -- because I don't tempt karma moving such things just to get a photo.
I'm reminded of the grave offerings made in the belief that the spirits of the dead, in the other world, can receive what's left for them here, if it's burned or broken or as it deteriorates. I like to think of someone, somewhere, painting for an old love, the baby blue sky and the warmth of sunflowers and green grassy fields...

Republicans in Congress have done nothing to create jobs. Congressman Lungren actually voted to put almost 100,000 workers off the job by shutting down Airport Construction Projects funded in the FAA Authorization. CWA members canvassed homes in key neighborhoods yesterday, asking constituents to voice their opposition to the FAA shutdown.
I made play with my eyes as canvass. Seeing the world according to my eye perspective to be green free and more love and peace. Missing all your works my flickr friends.
