I could see the snow capped mountains from miles away as I was driving towards Joshua Tree National Park. I got so excited to have some compositions served with this backdrop. I had some of the most glorious skies from Joshua Tree and all through my drive into the Mojave. I'm finding that photography is a game of inches. Looking forward, backward, and getting low to produce that specific feel for the viewer. The pull is to put as much into the frame as possible. Sometimes it works. Hope you enjoy.
We travelled 300 miles to check venues for my first wedding gig.

A Latin Mass will be celebrated and I was already briefed about decorum.
I may use this exact spot for group shots.
I'm thinking of having the couple stand by the door, while the entourage are at far right down the hill. I have some other ideas and will appreciate your thoughts.
It was about to rain when I took this shot. The weather forecast has not been accurate lately. Especially at this place few miles off Canadian border where it is still wintry cool.

I had to hold back the tears.

The TSS Duke of Lancaster is a railway steamer passenger ship that operated in Europe from 1956 to 1979, and is currently beached near Mostyn Docks, on the River Dee, north-east Wales. It replaced an earlier 3,600 ton ship of the same name operated by the London Midland and Scottish Railway company between Heysham and Belfast.
The plan is to transform the ship into the largest open air art gallery in the UK. As of August 2012, the Latvian graffiti artist "Kiwie" was commissioned to spraypaint a design on the ship. The ship is slowly being covered with graffiti described as "bright and surreal". The first phase of the project saw Kiwie and other European graffiti artists paint murals on the ship between August and November 2012, and the second phase (starting at the end of March 2013) included the work of British-based artists such as Snub23, Spacehop, Dan Kitchener and Dale Grimshaw. One of the artworks is a picture of the ship's first captain, John 'Jack' Irwin.
