Clumsy on land, the Canvasback (Aythya valisineria) is a majestic swimmer with large, webbed feet. It is a diving duck (versus dabbling ducks that stay at the water's surface with their rumps exposed, like Mallards). The Canvasback will glide silkily beneath the water and use its powerful bill to root about in the sediment for plants, crustaceans, insects, and other yummies. These ducks are prized by hunters, and their numbers dropped precipitously throughout the twentieth century. But, thankfully, populations have been rebounding since the 90s.
Life is like a canvass and we paint each single moment on it.
Some of the colours will be vivid like a sunny Spring day and some will be dark like a cold Winter day...{A.C.}
The great art of life is sensation, to feel that we exist, even in pain. {Lord Byron}

Its not the best I can do but I feel I have to upload something.
I feel I need a break from Flickr, to clear my mind, get some new ideas and so on.
So see you all soon. x
Excited to show off the amazing Mystic Canvass skin "Amarder" in chalk tone, with red brow option. The skin comes with many brow options, including no brows. I thought the red brows were super pretty!

I don't like the tree stump in the forground but not skilled enough to remove it so it will have to stay but apart from that I really like it :)
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks for looking :)
This was a great moment during my backpacking trip. The sunset was brilliant, the skies were clear, and the temperature was perfect.
This is a picture of one of America's most famous lighthouses - the Split Rock Lighthouse on Minnesota's North Shore. I happened to catch an artist completing his work below. I included his shadow on his work as it is symbolic of the transmission of art. There is the Creator and his creation. God and his creation, and the artist and his imitation. The shadow represents the impression of the mind of the artist as it resembles the source of his manifested work.
Anyway, no need for futher explanation. It was just a very cool moment for me. :)
Over the last two years, I had seen these beautiful ducks from a distance, but you don't get a true appreciation of their beauty until you are up close and personal. Spending a few minutes with this beautiful diving duck made my winter.
Often times when I look at the sky, I see it as God's canvass where He shows His amazing colors.
Just imagine in a day, He starts by painting a sunrise, then can later on give it brilliant blue hues. With a swish of His paintbrush, He can then paint mighty cloud formations. And at long last, during sunset, magically magnifying the yellows and the oranges, like a massive burning fire that burns along the horizon and so wild it fills the entire sky.
I can only guess why He shows us His colors. Perhaps it's His way of reminding us that He remains in control in just about everything there is and that includes our lives.
BTW, I apologize if I haven't been very active with uploading new photos. I have been pretty much busy this weekend but I do promise to keep this stream busy once more once I get around a few bumps and crevices.
I also have just a bit of time to spare today to do some commenting. So I apologize if I don't get to comment on all your photos but will get back to them the soonest possible time.
Weekend ends and another week starts. Hope your weekend fared better than mine.
Happy Scarlet Sunday!
This photo is almost SOOC, by that I meant not much processing has been done except for a bit of sharpening. The colors are as seen by the naked eye. See it on black
Fantastic sunrise on the beach from last month's vacation. It was cloudy, so the sun wasn't visible that much, but the effects were still there nonetheless!
Three gifts. Need to make 2 more.
My Sony Alpha 100 died on me yesterday... just after 8 months.
Brought it back to the store and they send it back to Sony to repair...
Hope I get it back in 4 weeks.

A shot made of hurry moments capturing the beautiful sky display of God's wonderful tapestry of sunset's hue. Totally AMAZING!
