Yesterday I proclaimed that flower shots was really not my thing, and yet I follow up with another one :). The light played nicely on the sole Lily in the window, so I couldn't really skip up the opportunity.
Taken for my Project 365. Your comments are appreciated, it gives me the motivation to continue.
Was lucky to get a completely still sunrize at the Convict lake last month.

a quick note. This is a character I've had in my head for about a year. Within time I think he will be a recurring theme in my art. Hoping to do a series with him in the near future so if you like this style stay tuned :)
Walt Disney World
The Polynesian Resort
A distant bolt of lightning cracks during a long exposure shot at the Polynesian Resort. I got lucky with this one.

Shocked by how light played on my front lawn yet again, I captured this just before the moment was over. I call it a tip-of-the-hat to the same technique I used with one of my most popular pics. Happy Tuesday, Y'all!

Feel the terror.
The trees look like dancing in front of canvas filled with stars and the canvas reflects city lights in background. Taken from Adelaide Hills, about 25 km away from city.
Today snow crystals fell! It's nice to be home for Christmas Break. Not for long though, I'm headed to Cancun!
This picture was taken in Dominican Republic. This is a reflection silhouette of his parents through his Ray Bans. In love with this picture!! :)
Many of my Facebook Friends have seen this image so forgive me for posting it again for the people on Flickr. I couldn't help myself, it's awesome.
Rather than go into that much explanation about the technique, I'd like to refer you to my blog where I've broken down the lighting for a shoot my wife and I did. You can find the post here.

I think I spent more time on this picture than any other. Turns out it's really hard to clone out telephone lines. Also, it's hard to HDR with handheld shots in high winds when the telephone lines are moving. After a few hours, I gave up, so here's what you get.
It was funny, this was nearly an accident. I was shooting downtown, and made a wrong turn and wound up on Babcock Boulevard, a very long stretch of road that has nearly no turnarounds. While I was on this stretch of road, I was cursing the fact that there was this epic sky behind me in my rear view mirror that I was missing. When I finally got to a stoplight, I started to pull a U turn when I caught this church in view. After going another block or two, I found the composition that I wanted here.
I think I had a shot to get something really really epic here, and I made the mistake of going 3 shot handheld. The 0 exposure got me a blown out sky, while the -2 one required a ton of work to tame it down as well. Sigh... Should've gone single shot and metered off of my hand. I was in such a hurry to get back downtown, that I think I slightly lost something on what was probably the best shot of the day - this one.

Probably the last of my sunset FoN shots.
