High Line - New York City - October 2010:

O High Line é um parque de 2,33 km, construído em uma seção do frete ferroviário elevados ex estimular chamado de West Side Line , que corre ao longo do lado oeste menores de Manhattan , que foi redesenhado e plantadas, uma antena canteiro . O High Line Park funciona atualmente de Gansevoort Street, uma quadra abaixo West 12th Street , no Meatpacking District , até a Rua 20 , e acabará por passar pelo bairro de Chelsea para o West Side Yard , perto do Centro de Convenções Javits .

 

Sobre o Parque:

O High Line foi originalmente construído em 1930, para levantar os comboios de mercadorias perigosas ruas fora de Manhattan. Seção 1 do High Line é aberto como um parque público, pertencente à cidade de Nova York e operada sob a jurisdição da cidade de Nova York Departamento de Parques e Recreação.

 

Amigos da High Line são os responsaveis de recursos privados para o parque e fiscalizar sua manutenção e operações, ao abrigo de um acordo com o Departamento de Parques.

  

Standard Hotel High Line:

O novo Standard Hotel, no Meatpacking District é o primeiro de uma série de projectos ligados ao desenvolvimento da High Line, um parque a ser construído em um segmento de abandonados trilhos elevados.

 

A estrutura imponente, desenhado por Polshek Partnership, é suportada em enormes pilares de concreto, enquanto um restaurante no piso térreo e um café do jardim são dobrada debaixo de quadros da Linha de Alta de aço pesadas.

I went to this small town in rural Indiana to shoot some promo material for my friend's documentary film. It is about a high school basketball team's struggle to win a single game back in 2011. Today I'm posting this night shot from Lisboa I took last December.

I shot it with Canon 5D MarkII and 24-105 f/4 L IS USM along with my

Manfrotto tripod of course.

I used 4 RAWs here to get all the details especially around the lights and

on the buildings in the background.

I didn't use any HDR software but I manually blended the exposures in

Photoshop, loading them into a stack and then aligning them using the

Auto-Align feature in PS.

I tried to give an oldie look, unusual for an "HDR" shot, but still

achieving a lot of details in the picture thanks to the multiple exposures

blending.

I blended the exposures using different blending modes, masks and then I

performed some dodgind & burning, contrast and vibrance adjustments.

A combination HDR/ND/Nik/etc. Originally 4 exposures. Spent way too much time on this one, but I learned some Photoshop layer folder techniques along the way.

 

Similar to a previous shot, but I was low on shots, and I think I like the way this one turned out better.

We had so many bad luck with this shooting, our makeup artist cancelled at the very last minute, a creator kind of cancelled too...

But I kind of like the result. What do you think ? :) Don't hesitate to comment and critic if you wish. :)

Yesterday's storm left a lot of amazing clouds for today. The whole sky was full of white fluffy clouds for most part of the day. But i was busy running errands for the whole day and only got time in the evening to take pics. By that time I went to my favorite spot in Newport only a few of the clouds were left. I thought of taking some long exposure to make water perfectly smooth. Since i dont have high powered ND filters with me, i had to improvise. I used my polarizer and then used two graduated filters, one of them in normal position and the other one upside down. This combination gave me a 30 second exposure at f22. I want to buy a big stop ND filter like Lee big stopper, but its on backorder for 6 months.

Topaz group: I used Topaz Restyle to enhance the colors of the sunrise over the Taj Mahal, luckily it was a hazy day and the sun and shadows created some red and orange tones to start with.
