When Joann Bush holds her 2-year-old niece, the 33-year-old Ravenna Township resident knows she's blessed simply to be alive. After all, had it not been for her own persistance -- and a little bit of faith, she says -- she would have never known Elizabeth. This last weekend was the American Cancer Society Relay For Life In West Clark County, WA. It was an amazing event with a wonderful turnout.
As a cancer survivor this event touches me tremendously! Such a wonderful group of organizers, team captains and wonderful participants. We all agree, cancer sucks and we want to do what we can to help eliminate it from our world!

The DJ was playing old school jams during the registration and welcome for the relay for life. It wa sthe 80's all over again, in a good way.
We live in a beautiful world with some scary realities. Sometimes we get news we don't like, face battles we don't want. Stay strong ❤ We rise above the hardships and set sail for a beautiful future ❤
CCJD's Community Health Promoters celebrate a survivor (center) and her brave fight over breast cancer. Promotoras were there with her to educate and support her from detection to remission :-)
MOKA designed clothing for 2011 Children's Wish Foundation Calendar 2011. All the models are cancer survivors patient who helped us design the clothing by choosing the fabric and designs they preferred.
