M1917 Light Tank (1918 Renault RT Light Tank) on display at the Military Museum located at Canadian Forces Base Borden in Simcoe County Ontario Canada
In June 1940, Colonel Frank Worthington informed the Canadian National Defence Headquarters of a number of surplus M1917 6-ton tanks in the United States. The U.S. agreed to sell 250 of the tanks. Colonel Worthington ordered 236 M1917 tanks on 21st September 1940, in order to increase the amount of tracked vehicles available to train Canadian Army tank crews.

Supposedly today was the last operational day for the Sea Kings. This is part of a lackluster fly-past by four of the type. I was hoping they'd form up in echelon so I could capture all of them at once.

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds demonstration squadron perform a low show at CFB Borden.
I had a bit of foresight and a bit of luck in getting this photo, as I was in the perfect spot to try this composition knowing that the team would do a couple overhead passes.
I think the solo curling out on the left hand side just adds a bit more to the photo, filling in what would otherwise be empty space.

I have a number of photos of this aircraft, but this one I think is the best yet. Here it's coming in to runway 09 at YPW. While they are still flying the CC-115's are being replaced with the new CC-295 Kingfisher and will soon be declared obsolete.
A vast array of mission marking are seen on this 409 Sqn CF-18 Hornet. They represent the ordnance that was dropped over Libya during 'Task Force Libeccio'.
The Canadian Navy submarine HMCS Victoria returns to CFB Esquimalt / Esquimalt Harbour after a long deploymment.

As our ship, the Crown Princess neared Victoria, B.C. a Canadian Forces vessel passed by near Esquimalt, B.C. which is home to Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt, the home port of Maritime Forces Pacific and Joint Task Force Pacific Headquarters. The ship sighted is HMCS Nanaimo (MM702), a Kingston Class Coastal Defence Vessel that was launched in 1996. The ship is 55 metres long (180 ft)
