There's no wind to stir the flag

One more post of the previous 2019 Canada Day fireworks. Hopefully, I will soon have some new photos. It's going to be cloudy. We'll have to see how that works out.

I chickened out and didn't shoot fireworks last night, so I present earlier fireworks.

Happy Canada Day July 1, 2019!

Canada Day is Here again. This is, I suppose, my final fireworks shot from last year. It rained until almost 10PM, so I just shot from my bedroom window. This year it is hotter than the hinges of h---, so I may shoot from the same place, chicken that I am.

Every July 1st is a day of mixed emotions in NL. While we celebrate Canada Day it is also Memorial Day, a day to remember the sacrifices of so many Newfoundland and Labradorians since WW1

Happy Birthday Canada!

From our Canada Day trip to Saskatoon.

After taking the dog for a walk early while the house and it's inhabitants slept, I came home ravenous and decided to detour from my usual oatmeal breakfast for french toast with maple syrup, followed by a large London Fog tea. I don't think it will make much difference to my already burgeoning waistline since I've gained 7 lbs. since Christmas. Yes, too much maple syrup but it sweetened the strawberries. ….and I didn't burn the toast like I usually do!!
