"Too close" is what it was apparently!

While we were settling down in the dark and lonely tent, we heard lots of squealing....

Make one cairn, leave for an hour, and they multiply! Spring camping at Saddle Mountain, Arizona.

This is my only photo from our camping trip. It was cold and rainy the whole time till the last day. So as we were winding things up to leave, I quickly took this shot. I still had a wonderful and relaxing time though!

oh, how this would have been made awesome had it been shot with a long exposure..but, alas.. i did not have my tripod.

i entered this into a themed shot on google + today, so thought i would share.

There is one perfect camp spot just below the summit with fabulous views. It was a bit of a gamble going up there, but we were lucky to find this spot. shared with pixbuf.com

We camped in the woods just below the snowline. We had no tents, but instead made shelters from our ponchos. In the middle of the night it rained and the hood of my poncho filled with water and then let loose on me. It was one of the coldest, wettest and most uncomfortable nights I ever spent.

Tucked away in the trees. my tent blends in nicely with the trees.
