I love this handheld camera with a 1/30s time. When someone moves too fast, there is a blur. Here the fire did a strange shift.

Summit Camp on Meall Dearg in Glencoe. Bidean Nam Bian in the background. This was one of the best nights I've experienced yet. No wind, plenty of mountains, stars, aurora, and a fantastic inversion in the morning. Mother Nature was spoiling me!

Lovely to see the Romany folk camped in our lanes again with their vardos and horses. These people respect the land and never leave mess behind unlike some other travelling communities.

Midnight at the campground with a bit of a glow. Wishing all a great week!

Edward River near Moulamein, NSW

The Edward River is quite a popular spot for campers and anglers especially during the Australian summer. Some camps are fairly basic like this one while others can be quite elaborate and almost a home away from home.

Camping last night.

I`m so tired. Haha!

Manzanar is the site of one of ten American concentration camps, where more than 120,000 Japanese Americans were incarcerated during World War II from March 1942 to November 1945. 10,000 were confined here in Manzanar in over 500 uninsulated barracks. Terribly hot in the summer and bitter cold in the winter.

I created an album, Mazanar containing the photos I captured while walking the remains of the camp. www.flickr.com/photos/isensno/albums/72177720323530598

From camping last weekend. Found some fresh picked strawberries at a farm stand and I brought along some biscuits I had made. All came together for great tasting strawberry shortcake.

With concern mounting over threats to the Bay Area from Confederate sympathizers and naval forces, the federal government established Camp Reynolds (later known as the West Garrison) on Angel Island in 1863. Artillery batteries were built near the camp.

After the Civil War, Camp Reynolds became an infantry camp, serving as a depot for recruits, and as a staging area for troops serving in campaigns against the Apache, Sioux, Modoc, and other Indian tribes. By 1876, this was a busy camp with over 2,000 soldiers and complete military camps or posts including a chapel, bakery, blacksmith, shoemaker, laundry, barber, trading store, and photographer.

How different the days are seen in the sun ... The day I take this photo the sun came out after 8 days raining without stopping ...

Located in South Lake Tahoe. This is a view of the Duplexes that can be rented. The resort is behind me.

This was probably considered a really nice camping setup in it's day. Taken in the Mohave Desert in Nevada.

The weather in Madina theses days allows for some early morning camping.

Having an early breakfast outdoors gives me a feeling of both happiness and satisfaction. It gives the soul a chance to feel rest of all worries and every bad feeling.

One of the special taste of early morning camping is tea done on burning coal.

If you haven't tried this way of preparing tea ... you ARE missing a lot.

The 330,000 square foot, 10 story Crosley Building, in background, Built in 1929, resembling a Crosley Radio, the upper stories housed WLW Radio, with a range from Florida to New York. The lower levels contained the manufacturing facilities of Powell Crosley's empire, including building cars, radios and refrigerators. Crosley sold the building in the 1960 and it's been downhill ever since. Abandoned since the early 2,000's, a new group has plans to restore the building and rent spaces to artists. Located in the Camp Washington, a struggling mixed area.

We went camping over Labor Day weekend off of Lake Michigan and this wild turkey wanders into camp and starts hanging out. The kids at the other site kept feeding her, so she was not about to leave. She had no fear of humans. Here she is resting just a few feet from where we were sitting and reading books. The owner of the camp said she just showed up a couple of days before. I guess she is a quick learner.
