The yellow of straw stalks and gone-to-seed weeds against the white snow lure me outside with the camera despite the freezing temps. Add a bit of red bared willows and the winter Wyoming sky and I'll be out to play.

I hope you enjoy my impression of the mysterious Manukau harbour, Auckland. On a gloomy day it's a silent, magical and strangely ominous place. A plane can be seen just above the boat navigating the sandbanks. ICM (Intentional camera movement)

Project 52, week 30
This weeks prompt "Vintage".
This camera belonged to my grandfather. He was a very avid photographer, so now I can look at photos of my father when he was a child and see what his chilhood was like. Unfortunately he died when my father was only fifteen, so I've never met him. Someday I will try if this camera still works :)
This week I learned how hard it is to take a picture of a camera. It is a big black blob and nothing made it look very interesting :)
Have a great weekend!

Director Tim Cash of Far From Earth Films preps the scene during filming of The Astronot. The trailer for the film is in the profile link if interested.
I was poking about and found my old Olympus camera. Actually this might be my daughter's camera. We both had the same model. They haven't been working properly for some years and they've been put to one side. However, one of the batteries still had enough charge to take a photo (the charger doesn't work) and one of them could be linked to my computer to take this photo. I really liked this camera, it had a lot of features that my more recent cameras don't have.
When one can't think of anything to take for one's daily selfie just take a photo in a mirror – and flip the image 😀
For the Saturday Self challenge, this is my Dads old camera. I love having this memory of him... knowing that when I hold this camera, and peer through the view finder, I am doing exactly the same thing he did all those years ago.
I feel a strong connection to my Dad, particularly when I look back at images he took with this camera.
