A calm evening with dramatic skies

Durban, South Africa - looking out into the Indian Ocean.

A nice view from some sea cliffs/bluffs at Pescadero State Beach. The ocean was relatively calm as the last light hit the surface. I liked the combo of flowers in the foreground from this perspective and the rocky beach below. Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think!

The reflections in calm waters are like the thoughts that cross your mind before falling asleep.

Calmes are the formed lead cane of 'H' section used to form stained glass windows. Here the design of this elevation on Everard's Print works in Bristol's Braod Street echoes that technique in the way the coloured panels of the figure are delineated.

This is one of those rare shots of mine of recent times that have had no real processing. The light caught my eye at the weekend and the polariser contributed to the almost monochrome appearance. In fact it works better in this subtle colour version than in monochrome which robbed it somewhat of its depth.
