Calm reflection

2018 and the day was coming to a close as we walked along the beach at Oak Island, North Carolina. The day had been intermittently stormy, but the sun popped out to illuminate this seascape. I wonder if the fisher folks caught anything during their time on the water?

Southwold beach

A lovely calm evening walk along the beach at Gunner point. Can always find something to have a snap at

It was one of those prefect mornings, the sun has just risen, and the ground was icy from the snow last night. For a few moments there was absolutely no one around, just me surrounded by perfect beauty and silence.

Then I was joined by a man and his kayak.

So allmählich rücken die Sonnenaufgänge wieder in unbequeme Zeiten.

Und so musste ich, als ich mir den Steg in Dahme als Fotomotiv ausgesucht habe schon um 3 Uhr aufstehen. Mich kostet das immer eine Heidenüberwindung und auch wenn die Viewfindr App mich mit einer super Vorhersage zur Location zwingt, kann es doch sein, dass ich den Wecker wieder ausstelle und mich im Bett umdrehe. Dieses mal konnte ich den inneren Schweinehund überwinden und bin losgefahren.Und wie man sieht, es war nicht vergeblich.

On my dog walk. Being tugged from side to side with Lexi coz she is just jumping around so much it’s lovely to take five and just stand and watch these guys doing their thing. Lexi is part beagle so the nose is in overdrive on our walks. Bouncing around everywhere thinking she might have seen something to chase. No way. She is a nightmare to get back if loose. Too dangerous for herself other dogs coz she takes a bump from another dog and she says ‘ok you want a fight’ and the cars travelling. A bunny is a bunny and she just must catch it. Or would like to try at least.
