A sweeping panorama of Kaldnes Brygge captured from the historic Slottsfjellet viewpoint. This image, stitched from 12 high-resolution frames, reveals the vibrant waterfront architecture glowing against the winter dusk. The calm water mirrors the golden lights of modern apartments, while the hillside beyond tells the story of Tønsberg’s layered heritage. A perfect blend of urban life and serene Nordic winter.

Fun Fact

Kaldnes Brygge was once home to the Kaldnes Mekaniske Verksted, a major shipyard in Tønsberg. Today, it stands as a modern residential and commercial hub, transforming the city’s industrial past into a contemporary waterfront community.

I love Autumn, the weather is perfect, the trees are beautiful, and there's almost always a nice, pleasant breeze. It's also when Doctor Who comes on, which makes it even better.

Film: Ilford HP5+ @EI200

Process: Bellini Hydrofen (updated Rodinal Special / Studional) 1+39, 4min 30 sec @20*C

Camera: Hasselblad 500C/M, 80mm f2.8 C T* Planar, UV (010) filter

Scanner: Optronics ColorGetter Falcon drum scanner, wet-mounted scan.

I have not done much night photography, so I took the chance to capture this image while visiting Leeds Castle, near Maidstone, Kent. Including an allowance for reciprocity failure, exposure time was about 15 seconds.

This is also the first time I have pulled HP5+ and the technique has worked well - I am pleased with the overall creaminess and depth of the tones. The Bellini developer has also worked very well here.

I didn't get a lot of good sunsets in Hawaii but the colors on this day actually turned out nice.

mid February in the sunshine

About 15 years ago I had traveled this same national park. As a child he did not take much importance to landscapes or nature. This time things were different. As soon as we arrived at Laguna Chica, I was impressed by the beauty it had, the calm in that place, the still waters and the native forest touching and falling on it. I could have spent hours looking at the place, resting and hearing the wind moving the treetops, a beautiful place

2018 and the day was coming to a close as we walked along the beach at Oak Island, North Carolina. The day had been intermittently stormy, but the sun popped out to illuminate this seascape. I wonder if the fisher folks caught anything during their time on the water?

Walking alone in the evening, i thought this was very calm landscape

The River Wear in Durham. Just hours later the remnants of a hurricane hit. So this could be called a calm before the storm!

word song

We were young, posters on the wall

Praying we're the ones that the teacher wouldn't call

We would stare at each other

'Cause we were always in trouble

And all the cool kids did their own thing

I was on the outside always looking in

Yeah, I was there but I wasn't

They never really cared if I wasn't

We all need that someone who gets you like no one else

Right when you need it the most

We all need a soul to rely on, a shoulder to cry on

A friend through the highs and the lows
