Que les fleurs exsangues
Mouraient dans la brassée
Du vent chaud de ses mots."

"He said as so many things
That the bloodless flowers
Died in the infusion
Of the hot wind of his words."

old city istanbul, turkey
the amount and intricacy of pattern has to be seen ...
many of the huge number of windows are decorated with coloured glass
I looked for photos of interiors of hagia sofia grand & blue mosques to confirm the identity of the building I had visited
the matches I found were labelled blue mosque ...
the blue is a functioning mosque, here much of the central floorspace under the highest dome is inaccessible to visitors
and is roped off for worshippers

So I tried out letters and SNOT and stuff like that. This is my last name according to BrickSlopes, but it actually is my dad's first. I made it for him for his birthday recently as a desk name plaque. Here's the study objectives:
Study in Calligraphy
Study in SNOT
Study in Contrast (LEGO)
Study in iPhone 7 camera
Study in depth
Study in textures
I also made one with my name that I will be posting soon, so stay tuned!

I was unsure which building I'd photographed, so searched for confirmation, certainly worship takes place here
and the floor space accessible to visitors is quite small, as the central area under the dome is closed off with ropes ...
the blue aka sultan ahmed mosque dates from 1600s
