Strobist: snooted canon 430EX, 1/16 power held by wife to side. (I really need a light stand as I think my wife is getting tired of doing this.) Plus for this shot piece of while foam was held to right (also by wife) close to flower.
Calla and Lily would be beautiful names for girls. Just popped into my mind. These grow outside my bedroom window.
Roll 8, expired film
After lunch, before we went to the movie we had time to walk around and see more public plantings. Like many larger cities, San Diego has a weekly paper which lists all the events, movies , author readings etc., usually with a couple of new restaurant reviews. This week's nuggets were descriptions of everything blooming in S.D.County. Two things mentioned were Thai orchid trees and Yuccas.So as we were driving here we saw a huge yucca in bloom (maybe I'll post it later) and as we were strolling I saw this row of callas right near an orchid tree. In my zeal to photograph every flower in the county....here are a few more.
