Zantedeschia 'Twilight', Calla Lily Twilight

Calla is Greek for beauty and Hebrew for the majestic bride. Originally grown in South Africa, are grown throughout the world. Callas are not actually lilies, though they are often mistakenly referred to as such.

These pictures come from an older hard disk. My main picture hard disk died today. I think I was at least 2/3 backed up on Flickr, thank goodness. But the rest of the pictures.. those are gone.

I took these pictures while visiting a local nursery.

More flower photos from my trip to the West coast in March.

I tried another (old, non-digital) lens. The objective was to get the object sharp at some parts and the background blurred but recognizable! It was fun to do it all by hand again..

It's that time of the year again. My Calla Lilies are in bloom.
