Calla lilies grow all over San Francisco! I found this one growing in Golden Gate park while the sun was starting to set through the trees.

The calla lilies were huge and graceful in form. They were everywhere in Golden Gate State Park. These were just a couple I enjoyed.

I don't care for the white Calla Lily but my husband really wanted it so here it is.

Wispy white tulle is traditional enough for a church wedding, but the details can bring a quirky touch that makes you feel unique. A mother-of-pearl style blue button, freshwater pearls, mini calla lilies and a tiny brass bird to watch over your trip down the aisle and back up again.

Calla is Greek for beauty and Hebrew for the majestic bride. Originally grown in South Africa, are grown throughout the world. Callas are not actually lilies, though they are often mistakenly referred to as such.

These pictures come from an older hard disk. My main picture hard disk died today. I think I was at least 2/3 backed up on Flickr, thank goodness. But the rest of the pictures.. those are gone.

I took these pictures while visiting a local nursery.

I tried another (old, non-digital) lens. The objective was to get the object sharp at some parts and the background blurred but recognizable! It was fun to do it all by hand again..
