Zantedeschia, usually called calla or arum lily( when white), they are not a true lily.
It is named after Italian botanist Francesco Zantedeschia.
The Zantedeschia species are poisonous due to the presence of calcium oxalate.
All parts of the plant are toxic!
More experiments with lights and shapes, M, (*_*)

They grow like weeds here and do get a bit boring, but occasionally I take a photo of one.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.
Not for everyone! I know...
I love 'abstracting', letting you see pure shape.

The female florets of the Calla Lily spadix (the male portion is above, in the shadow.)
Speedlight with snoot from right. Speedlight with reflector and grid, fill/rim light from upper left.
Zantedeschia rehmanii.
For several years we have grown this calla, which is much smaller than the familiar white calla. Just the day before, I had reminded myself to photograph this particular one in its prime. The next morning it had this droplet from the night-time fog. And I got to it just in time. After a few photos, gravity took over and it dropped.
There is a row of lovely Calla Lillies growing beside the path on the way to nearby Lisgar Gardens in Hornsby, Sydney.

Frederic Chopin: "Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art."
This statuesque proud flower did not need anything else...
The pure black and white brings out the structure and shape, no?
Zantedeschia, usually erroneously called Calla or Arum lilies (only when white), they are not a true lily.
Monochromatic? Not really he? All the shades of grey... from a true black to white... as it should be!
I wish you a great day, Magda, (*__*)
