Zantedeschia
Zantedeschia is a genus of 8 species of herbaceous, perennial, flowering plants in the family Araceae, native to southern Africa from South Africa north to Malawi. The genus has been introduced on all continents except Antarctica.
Common names include calla and calla lily although members of the genus are neither true lilies of Liliaceae, or true Callas.

Calla Lilly at home; just waited for the right light. Also had to make an effort and get a tripod out.
I purchased a pot of Calla Lilies today. I hope to add more views and life-cycle stages over the next week or two...

Zantedeschia, usually called calla or arum lily( when white), they are not a true lily.
It is named after Italian botanist Francesco Zantedeschia.
The Zantedeschia species are poisonous due to the presence of calcium oxalate.
All parts of the plant are toxic!
