The mountains are almost cliffs in most places - and there are difinately places where some rock slides have happened! This was near our hotel at Aguas Calientes

The bottom is sideways crochet ribbing. The body stitches are picked up from the ribbing and dc in the round up to the armholes, then the front and back are worked separately and seamed at the shoulders. I picked up the collar and armhole stitches with a #3 circ and knit 4 rows of ribbing for the edging.

Machu Picchu Pueblo.

Aguas Calientes is a town in Peru on the Urubamba River. It is the closest access point to Machu Picchu. There are many hotels, markets, and restaurants, as well as natural hot baths, which give the town its name.
