Jon spotted this cake recipe online and thought it might be suitable for his work's bake-off competition in a few weeks time. We had a trial run tonight and it was a lot of fun. You pour plain and chocolate cake batter into the tin in turns, so they form concentric circles of cake mix and it has zebra stripes when cut.

Final result shows we need to cut back on the baking powder a little but it's lots of fun and pretty easy to do.

weird cake with characters from Kung Fu Panda on it - I saw this at the grocery store and it creeped me out. I would not have wanted this cake if I was a kid.

This cake is actually easy to decorate-the top layer is a larger round than the others and left domed. The sides are tapered down. Cover with chocolate ganache and the sides are covered with the carved away cake crumbs (ran through the food processor) The hardest part was the white icing curls-this was fun for a casual bar-b-que party and a birthday cake for a favorite junk food addict!!

Lemon Bundt Cake

This 2 tier Wonky style cake was for a 40th birthday. A 10" tripple layer (6"tall) Vanilla bean base tier with white chocolate filling and a 6" (6">4" tall) top tier double layer mud cake.
