Two tiered lemon cake - A wedding cake collection created by bake-a-boo to make a fabulous cake table at the wonderful wedding of Leon and Vanessa.
The cake table consisted of cakes in deffierent flavours, shapes and sizes, with each cake topped with a vintage bride and groom cake topper, carefully sourced for months in the lead up to the wedding by the lovely bride!
In keeping with the 'bride & groom' theme, we also created a 'barbie and ken' cake choosing dolls to look like leon and vanessa, this was the main cake and was a surprise for them, which they loved.
Making these cakes was a real joy!! and as a guest at the wedding also, I got to see people's reactions to the cake we had so many lovely comments as people tucked in and could choose to have different cakes or a little bit of each!

This show was held at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. We had over 500 samples gone in about 45 minutes!
A very pretty cake table for one of today's weddings all set up at The Kingscote Barn - Wedding venue. The lovely bride came to me with a picture from Pinterest which we used as our inspiration for the cake table. A 3 tier semi naked cake with flavours of lemon drizzle and sticky toffee sponge, a 2 tier naked cake in vanilla sponge and an extended height chocolate devils food cake coated in white chocolate ganache with chocolate drips. All finished off with fresh berries, figs, and pomegranate seeds and the most gorgeous flowers and foliage from Sorori Design Florist ~ Wedding & Event Specialist. Fabulous to have a catch up with the always lovely Strawberry Fields at Kingscote Barn too!

The design came from a combination of their watercolour invitation, aqua blue bridesmaids dresses and purple flowers. The base tier of the cake was painted with pastel purple, blue and pink watercolour effect, a top blue tier and then finished with a camper van I modelled from rice krispie treats. There was also pastel purple, pink and blue macarons, iced biscuits, mini cupcakes with sprinkles and watercolour painted meringues.
All set up at Wellington Barn.
12" hexagon cake decorated in buttercream with fondant cards, chips and message banner. This was so much fun to make!!

Why must it always be all or nothing? At least, it really really feels that way sometimes. I guess i'm just a creature of extremes. I'm happy or i'm sad. Things are good or they're bad. I don't have much of a middle ground (i realize as i'm typing that this is patently untrue, but it feels true at the moment, so i'm gonna go with it).
For FGR's "Clone Meets Clone." And i'm using it for Theme of the Week's 10 Commandments thing--this one is "thou shalt not covet." Because the me on the right is totally all covet-y. In fact, i'm pretty covet-y in general. I covet all the live long day; i can't help it.
