Our friend Kim made an insane amount of delicious cake. She works with Cake Dreams by Sally (www.cakedreamsbysally.com), and is absolutely amazing.
This idea of multiple cakes was actually her idea, by the way. She is amazing, and maybe insane.

12" x 7" rich fruit cake for my brother's surprise 40th birthday party tomorrow. Completely inspired by the amazing cake from Donna Makes Cakes - of whom I'm a big fan! Not 100% happy with photos, so will try to re-take some before we go to the party!
A wedding cake collection created by bake-a-boo to make a fabulous cake table at the wonderful wedding of Leon and Vanessa.
The cake table consisted of cakes in deffierent flavours, shapes and sizes, with each cake topped with a vintage bride and groom cake topper, carefully sourced for months in the lead up to the wedding by the lovely bride!
In keeping with the 'bride & groom' theme, we also created a 'barbie and ken' cake choosing dolls to look like leon and vanessa, this was the main cake and was a surprise for them, which they loved.
Making these cakes was a real joy!! and as a guest at the wedding also, I got to see people's reactions to the cake we had so many lovely comments as people tucked in and could choose to have different cakes or a little bit of each!

White embossed cookie hearts with hand piped names placed in a cupcake favour box. Perfect for favours and place names.
The design came from a combination of their watercolour invitation, aqua blue bridesmaids dresses and purple flowers. The base tier of the cake was painted with pastel purple, blue and pink watercolour effect, a top blue tier and then finished with a camper van I modelled from rice krispie treats. There was also pastel purple, pink and blue macarons, iced biscuits, mini cupcakes with sprinkles and watercolour painted meringues.
All set up at Wellington Barn.

Why must it always be all or nothing? At least, it really really feels that way sometimes. I guess i'm just a creature of extremes. I'm happy or i'm sad. Things are good or they're bad. I don't have much of a middle ground (i realize as i'm typing that this is patently untrue, but it feels true at the moment, so i'm gonna go with it).
For FGR's "Clone Meets Clone." And i'm using it for Theme of the Week's 10 Commandments thing--this one is "thou shalt not covet." Because the me on the right is totally all covet-y. In fact, i'm pretty covet-y in general. I covet all the live long day; i can't help it.

For a 21st birthday. This was caramel mud cake with white chocolate ganache. Air brushed black. I'm happy with it :)
