My first attempt at taming the jungle inside.The power cords running next to the 5.25 bays. I believe there's one cord running behind the cross bar that powers the rear exhaust fan with a 4pin molex connector, hence the zip tie at the corner of the power supply.

AE Aego M's are the best PC speakers I've ever heard. I just so happened to have AE speakers in my living room as well. :)
To cool down the Q9650 processor I used Arctic Silver 5 paste and mounted a Thermalright Ultra 120-eXtreme cooler / Scythe S-Flex SFF21F fan.

This is one of the 4 home automation racks that we have installed for the project. Cable management is extremely important for system stability and ongoing servicing. If these are not done correctly the first time it will cost you a fortune for ongoing service calls.
Back with Noiseblocker adjustable fancontroller for CPU fan and a dustfilter on the intake fan.
Thumb screws offer easy assembly and adjustment.
The front side of the ALICE detector displays a stunning feat of cable management and reminds you of the experiment's mind boggling complexity. The actual beam pipe can be seen in the middle of the frame.
Crazy to look back at this shot from 2008 - the sword case was interesting and could have looked nicer with a newer modular PSU.
Rear pump and reservoir blocked the lower PCI slot which was why I ended up selling the case.
