my brother and his girlfriend got us all hideous glasses and sweaters from the thrift store as a joke gift for christmas. they are kinda great. the title is a reference to dwight shrute form the office cause his glasses look a bit like these.

had a business luncheon with the husband. here i go again with the cinched waist... I actually wore this entire outfit (plus an oversized cableknit cream cardigan) last monday but never took a photo. So I decided to wear it all again today. It wasn't as much fun as the first time though. The first time was an adventure. Ok, on with it.
cream blouse: vintage "Ellen Tracy" with voluminous sleeves and fitted cuffs. Stella, my 70-something co-worker, gave me this last year or so because she thought it'd look flattering on me.
red belt: from an 80s "Michelle Stuart" wool blend skirt (which is amazing but haven't worn it yet.) From Goodwil on Gandy.
black pants: skinny "Gap" cotton pants I got for Christmas (after much begging).
shoes: the often worn "9west" faux leather woven heels found at a Goodwill thrift shop with my mom a few months ago.

Eve’s wearing a floral 40s style top from Charlotte Russe, a red wool asymmetrical coat from H&M, Happy Monday jeans, thrifted yellow belt and red suede pixie boots. She’s playing a blue glockenspiel.
I’m (breaking the never navy/brown/black rule) wearing a black twill peacoat with babydoll tailoring, a brown wool sweatervest, a thrifted navy high-waisted skirt, a plaid belt i got from a plaid dress in my closet, cableknit over-the-knee socks and some thrifted brogues. My shoes look pretty inconsequential in the photo, but they’re actually these fucking awesome, incorrigibly ugly products of clog/brogue/wedge incest which i thrifted but were probably originally produced for Mervyn’s circa 1989
