Cable Installation
As part of the installation of an offshore wind facility, a cable must be installed to bring the electricity to shore. A special cable laying ship is used. In this case, the method of installation is called jet plowing, where a high pressure stream of water is used to suspend sediments in a channel. The cable is laid into the trench of suspended sediment. The sediment settles in on top of the cable, thus burying it. The cable is brought to shore and connected to the grid.

I've been wanting this book since I heard a review of it done on Sticks and Strings. Technical aspects of cables covered, plus nice patterns and heaps of cable stitch pattern. Great knitting book for referencing. Bought at Needlenook in Highgate, SA
Buttons matched yarn colour - round metal buttons with a centre of the exact green as the yarn colour.
This pattern is from Crochet Today. Kicked my butt for a while but I persevered and it came out great.
Here's the secondary/neutral mounted on one clamp bracket, with a larger one below it for the addition of aerial cable.
Help - my cable is bigger than my camera!
I must, must, must find a smaller cable than the monstrosity that Sony is shipping with all its cameras lately. Some MBA-type decided it would be easier to ship one cable that connects to TVs and computers than a purpose-built cable for each ... or, better, yet, just a cable for computers, which is what 99% of people need.
So, now I have a cable that is bigger than my camera, and a significant obstacle to its useful portability on multi-day trips.
Anyone know of a smaller after-market cable?
