This wig was made using soy fibre. Its a natural blonde colour with hints of salmon pink. I guess you could consider soy, cut in this way, to be like the ultimate, most luxurious, glorified fur wig that money can buy! I absolutely love it. It takes just as long as a long wig would though, or actually probably even longer since the pieces need to be cut as you apply them to the wig cap.

If you love the flexible styling of fur but don't like the texture or how 'cheap' it can feel (I'm a raging fur fan but it doesn't feel expensive, does it?) then you'll definitely love this.

Its also vegetarian friendly (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

I going to post some warmer weather pics once in a awhile during the winter months. I love my winter shots but I know most people are longing for spring. ;)

I hope everyone enjoys this image! :D

Boy wonder had a few hair cuts at home by his Mommy; quite confident that he would be unable to sit still for a "real" one. But age 3 came and we thought, "what the heck...we will video tape it and use it against him in his teens if it is a comedy-drama-horror"!

But, the scissors were championed by an ambidextrous grandmother who was faster than fast while keeping him calm. She just kept spinning the chair and switching her cutting hand and 4 minutes later the shaggy boy was transformed.

Well, after giving Shirl a little too much lip over her capabilities as a barber she down tooled so I resolved to try and carry out the haircut myself. I had last been the the barbers in early March so I was a long way overdue. The faces I am pulling can only be put down to concentration and trepidation.

At a first glance the results don't look too bad, but what you can't see is the state I made of the back of my neck. Shots taken at arms length with my iPhone.

This wildflower is named for the shape of its leaves and the appearance of its tooth-like bulbs. In my area it is quite prevalent and blooming profusely in early April.

The Cut-leaved Toothwort is a spring wildflower that often grows side-by-side with the well-known Spring Beauty. Both plants can have blooms similar in color and size. However, the Toothwort has four petals (as do all the Mustard family wildflowers) whereas the Spring Beauty has five. The two plants have vastly different leaf geometries, however, making identification easier. Whereas the Spring Beauty’s leaf is long, slender, and somewhat grass-like, the Toothwort’s leaf pattern is actually a whorl of three deeply cut leaves out of which the flowering stalk emerges. Each leaf in the whorl is about 3 inches in both width and length and palmately cut into three to five lobes with toothed margins. The deep leaf cuts are the characteristic that gives the Toothwort its name. Toothwort is pollinated by bees and reproduces from seed, creeping underground rootstock, and fleshy tooth-shaped tubers. This plant can be found in the spring woods where the soil is rich, well drained, and receives partial sun. Blooming ceases when the tree canopy closes and adequate sunlight is not received for conducting photosynthesis.
