A metal sculpture called "Clear Cut" by Dale Lewis seen at Reiman Gardens in Ames, Iowa. The top of the "mushroom" is made of very large circular saw blades.
Developed with Darktable 3.6.0.
On the headland about 10m above St Peter's church there are two sets of rock-cut tombs or graves. They probably date from the 10th century. Each grave is cut out of the sandstone.
A set of six of these, two straight-sided and four body-shaped all with socket holes at the top where a wooden cross would have been placed. Two more rock-cut graves can be seen close by. The graves are often filled with rain water.
In 1970 a cemetery to the S of this site was excavated and 85 sets of bones were found and dated to the 10th-11th century. The rock cut graves are grade 1 listed and a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
I attended a "Wings and Wheels" venue yesterday, which featured vintage aircraft and cars. Unfortunately, one of three Harvard trainers had come in for a landing and went off the runway. There was a crosswind and bystanders who saw the crash said the plane drifted off it's approach onto the grass, where the wheels caught something and flipped it over. Thankfully there was no fire and both pilot and passenger walked away with only cuts and scratches.

And here’s the long-awaited Star Wars Revisited fan Edition. Emily goes to work and finds an enormous black hole in the newspaper. In the beginning she suspected the newspaper editor but then after she thought for 8 hours movie runtime, she arrived at the solution: she blamed a meteorite fallen from space. And this is the reason behind Emily’s revenge. She threw a big stone (played by Harrison Ford) into the stratosphere. A long love story starts between the stone and the Galaxy (played by Carrie Fisher) with an unexpected happy ending (played by Prozac).
