The Spy Base in the Waihopai Valley. One of the domes was deflated by protesters a few years ago, by slashing it with a box cutter. It apparently cost NZ$1,000,000 to pump it up again. Goodness knows where they buy their puncture repair kits from.

Downtown Harpers Ferry is such a mix of contrasts. The Old, The New, The Historic, the Commercial, the functional, and the not. All try to find balance in this little bit of perfect, tucked away between river and rock, the past and present.

Tower Marked British P-1864 Snider Breech Loading Long Rifle, the lock plate is Tower marked dated 1855, caliber .577 Snider. Assembled in the kingdom of Nepal in the latter 1870s and 1880s.

Stronvar station again. We are not into full autumn yet, but the colours are coming along nicely.
