Stourhead Gardens, Wiltshire.
Bristol High Cross was erected in 1373 in the centre of Bristol, to commemorate the granting of a charter by Edward III to make Bristol a county, separate from Somerset and Gloucestershire. It was moved to the Stourhead estate in 1780

This is a building that I photographed on February 25, 2018. It looks to be an administration building now, but at one time it must have been affiliated with a church. It has a big cross on one side of it.
This image is a composite. A mirror. Because my lense distorted the perfect harmony and balance of the the cross between the windows.
It was a very arresting cross... Bigly.

🇫🇷 Nous arrivons vers "La côte des Squelettes" Une côte où, les plages étaient jonchées de carcasses de baleines tuées par les chasseurs ainsi que de squelettes de phoques et quelques épaves de navires échoués et partiellement recouvertes par le sable.
La côte au nord est constituée de sable souple avec des affleurements de pierres ; puis une plaine de gravier dans la partie méridionale et, le paysage est dominé par de hautes dunes de sable.
Sur la côte, la remontée du courant froid de Benguela donne naissance, la plus grande partie de l'année, à un brouillard dense sur l'océan, Des vagues puissantes déferlent de façon constante sur les plages , et nous continuons jusqu’à Cape Cross ,pour y voir les otaries à fourrure.
🇬🇧 We arrive at the "Skeleton Coast", a coast where the beaches were littered with the carcasses of whales killed by hunters, as well as seal skeletons and a few shipwrecks partially covered by sand.
The coast to the north is made up of soft sand with stone outcrops; then a gravel plain in the southern part and the landscape is dominated by high sand dunes.
On the coast, the upwelling of the cold Benguela current gives rise, for most of the year, to a dense fog over the ocean. Powerful waves break constantly on the beaches, and we continue to Cape Cross, to see the fur seals.
🇩🇪 Wir kommen an der "Skelettküste" an, einer Küste, an der die Strände mit den Kadavern von Walen, die von Jägern getötet wurden, sowie mit Robbenskeletten und einigen Schiffswracks übersät waren, die teilweise von Sand bedeckt waren.
Die Küste im Norden besteht aus weichem Sand mit Steinaufschlüssen; dann eine Schotterebene im südlichen Teil und, die Landschaft wird von hohen Sanddünen dominiert.
An der Küste sorgt der aufsteigende kalte Benguela-Strom die meiste Zeit des Jahres für dichten Nebel über dem Ozean.
🇪🇸 Llegamos a la "Costa de los Esqueletos", un litoral donde las playas estaban sembradas de cadáveres de ballenas muertas por los cazadores, así como de esqueletos de focas y algunos naufragios parcialmente cubiertos por la arena.
La costa del norte está formada por arena blanda con afloramientos de piedra; luego, en la parte sur, se extiende una llanura de grava y el paisaje está dominado por altas dunas de arena.
En la costa, el afloramiento de la corriente fría de Benguela da lugar, durante la mayor parte del año, a una densa niebla sobre el océano. Poderosas olas rompen constantemente en las playas, y continuamos hasta Cabo Cross, para ver los osos marinos.
I want to cross this warm place, full of soft aromas and feel the humidity of the wet earth that touches the tips of my fingers, I want to enjoy this sun, touch the stone, feel its centuries that navigate my mind, I want to be able to be and perceive it like a great beauty ... like the soft presence of a person, that just ... makes you good, I want to cross .. and I will cross

I wanted to chill out this year and ride less than 5k. I probably won't even make 4k. But that's Ok. :-)
Beautiful weather. Frost coming the next 2 days.
Early morning light doesn't penetrate the thick oaks of the Oklahoma Cross Timbers until mid-morning in fall. I love the dark background. If this buck were just a few feet back in the shade, forget about a photo. Our beautiful world, pass it on.
