I made this sheet out of the Alexander Henry Entertaining Elephants fabric. It is perfect, I love it!

we quickly had to move it farther away from the bookcase after K2 started reaching up and pulling all the giant books into her bed.

The Cribs on stage. The guitar had some sort of glowing orange paintjob. A lighting stand like the one on the left almost fell into the crowd after one crowd-surfing fan got on stage and tried to pull it over. If it had landed, it would have been pretty disasterous for those underneath.

The Sydney convertible crib features the timeless elegance of sleigh bed style with soft curves and smooth details.

Crib Goch with Steve, Jo and Manos

Brenda Baker’s installation Crib re-conceptualizes the meaning and function of a corncrib. Instead of mundane storage bins, Crib becomes a beacon of color and light that draws passers-by into the landscape. Using existing structures and a combination of natural and man-made materials, the piece plays off the colors, topography, and scale of the landscape. This was the first project I made with the new room. Fabrics from Frolic Design on Etsy: www.etsy.com/shop/frolicdesign

Elephant print is Entertaining Elephants from Alexander Henry. Orange stripe is American Jane Punctuation and dot is Monaluna Mingle Dot. Chenille is from Mary Jo's cloth store in Gastonia, NC.

It's meant for a friend's baby due in May, and her crib is taller and bigger, as is her mattress, so it will all fit better on IT, but I just couldn't want to test it out and see how it all looked. Pretty cute I think!

Bumper insert kit complete with zippers and all instructions for making your own crib set available at Shirley Cohen's wonderful site, www.makeroomforbabykit.com

She offers several thicknesses and even one for euro/oval cribs like Stokke! You won't find a quality cotton-wrapped insert kit like hers anywhere!

This is my second attempt at a cot/crib cake and I think it went a bit better than my first, still plenty of room for improvement!

The top rail is attached to studs, the crib front is attached to the base and the rail, the second mattress support is installed (to allow the mattress to be raised to infant height)... all that's left is drawer fronts and a little spacer for the end of the mattress to make it perfectly safe!

(You can see the second mattress support here, just after being built.)

And after Rocky Glen, I drove all the way home on US 150, and stopped in Carlock, IL, and found this concrete crib covered in "someday it'll bloom again" ivy.

Short Latte by Banana Fish - 4 Piece Crib Set

A wonderful color palette of chocolate brown and light blue stripes make this beautiful baby bedding set perfect for your little boy.

* Comforter: 35" x 45".

* Bumper: 11" high x 160" long. 5 sets of double ties (top & bottom) + singles ties on each corner.

* Crib skirt: 15" drop.

* Fitted Crib Sheet: Fits standard size 28" x 52" crib mattress size. 100% cotton.

Materials: Set is a mix 100% cotton and 100% polyester fabrics. Filling is 100% polyester batting.

I used these for Veronika's crib and quilt. Very vintage looking.

On Leon's 2nd birthday, my gift to him was... a prison wall. (Which would not have been possible had not Jean's mom stayed to watch him over the weekend.)

Leon's never liked falling asleep alone. In the last few weeks, his distress has been so great that he's been climbing out of his crib; even after we turned it to face the wall, and barricaded the end with an old closet door and a pillow. This means we can't continue letting him cry it out long enough for him to get used to the idea of falling asleep on his own.

A consultant advised us to do whatever we can to contain him within the crib, for at least three weeks. So, I came up with this.

Tonight I let him fall asleep while holding his blanket corner (his likes that), tomorrow I'll stay in there without holding the blanket, and so for a few nights. Eventually we hope to get back to crying it out, without waiting for that terrifying thump we've occasionally heard in the past...

We have twin foster babies and the county regulations are that each baby have it's own crib. We had just bought the one crib and then had to go out and get a second one. It was a challenge fitting a second crib into the babies room.

Des Moines County, near Kingston, Iowa; two large, half-round bins, one at each end, with a drive-through between them and a common roof over them, make up this style of corn crib. The bins are made of concrete panels (staves) with slots to allow air circulation for the drying corn. Much like the concrete silo on the left, the blocks are all held in place with steel rods around the bins. This style of crib was often sold as a complete prefabricated kit. It was probably built in the 1920's or 1930's.

Put it together today. It's the Olivia crib from evil Walmart's baby mod line. Yes, evil, blah blah blah, but good luck finding a contemporary looking crib for less than your mortgage payment. I'm over it. It's effing cute. So is that daddy dude there.
