"Crave"
MCP Project 52
Do you ever get the craving for an ice cold glass of milk? Well, I do...and quite often. Sometimes it's chocolate - but mostly just an ice cold glass of skim milk will hit the spot!
On my search for a dairy cow (around here they are almost always black and white Holsteins), I found all of these "normal" Holsteins meandering around in the field. Then low and behold - out pops this lone brown (I think it is a Jersey) dairy cow! Not another one in site amongst all the black and white ones!
As we all chuckled to ourselves about the poor "red-headed step child" cow, it dawned on me that this is probably where they get chocolate milk from......................HA!! :)~

Crave
C: He buys me a make-up kit, blushers and lipstick and eyeshadow. And I paint my face in bruises and blood and cuts and swelling, and on the mirror in deep red, UGLY.
A: Death is my lover and he wants to move in.
B: What does that mean, what does that mean, what does that mean what you're saying?
C: Be a woman, be a woman, FUCK YOU.
For this upcoming year, we wanted to give our youth group a whole new look. Instead of the "normal" message series graphics, we want to do a monthly "magazine" inspired cover.
The graphic will include the message series title with the main graphic associated with it. Along with important events headings and other info through out the year.
Just looking for feedback, does this look like a good direction? comments/suggestions?
thanks..
Many of the organizers and sponsors spoke at the VIP luncheon to discuss how Crave would bring the arts to the people.
took feedback from previous post, trying to convey the idea of "craving for eternity" as well as using the word crave for other things like "craving for relationships, etc..."
Looking for feedback/suggestions....
thanks...
Impending series at Riv... finished up the set tonight and decided to take a couple shots.
This is a composite of three photos, stitched in Photoshop.
Much better viewed on Black

The three week CRAVE series at Riv.
We pulled down the black fabric from our previous set build and replaced it with eighth inch hardboard and pegboard. The pegboard has 1 mil translucent plastic behind it and we drilled out holes so the backlights would make the letters CRAVE visible. All the LED lights that were pointed up were reoriented to point down and toward the back wall so that the holes in the pegboard would effectively glow with color.
The most involved part of this was attaching all the sheets of hardboard and pegboard. We went through almost two full boxes of screws. Given the option I would have used 3/16 inch thick materials but that would've cost nearly twice as much, which is crazy.

A vivid dissection of lust, brutality, and ravenous love.
Recognized as the gentlest of Kane works, Crave lacks the violence of her earlier plays even as it plummets into the dark corners of the human psyche. Often described as a chamber-piece, Crave explores its themes with musical agility, exploring human experiences that defy a linear structure. It is a mark of her extraordinary talent that Kane was able to explore bleak subjects with humanity and humor. Crave presents four characters, whose words and silences build a symphony of lust, loneliness, abuse, and persistence. As the characters expose dark humor and wild desires, the audience is led through the shadows of affliction and into the light of release. Adult themes.
this is the crust of the Crave pie, which does not have gluten, dairy, nuts, or soy. Way to go, Crave!
