The Fourth of July is time for a real blast with the other revellers and to see what can be done with the fireworks displays turned into action. I thought this take was a good spot to start. It looks like a lightworks bumble bee taking wing for Mars or some other interplanetary journey. Fiery wings for sure! It looks like the bumblebee is flapping at blazing speed to achieve escape velocity from the earth's gravity. Bumblebee and not a speck of boogie woogie! I have already conferred with my buddy, Neil Degrasse Tyson about this phenomenon.
Backtracking to the center of that year and the fireworks at Roger's Grove is a good way to start a series. I never know what I will find when I sort through new or old shots. I added a bunch more "action" shots to my stash, all of the firey kind. I still have a pile to clean up even though I dumped a lot more into storage. This one looks like... a bumblebee for certain even though I have spent some time looking it over. Apparently there was a great deal of motion and the usual shakes as the fireworks erupted. The colors: I thought of how to react to the mass of colors.
It has been years since Phil and I enjoyed the Frogmont fireworks when we got a spot on the hill. This time and recently I have parked over at Golden Ponds and walked along the river to Roger's Grove to be the closer to the launch site. Longmont bagged fireworks in the forest fire year. I got stuck some distance across Hover for an earlier year. I was determined to get a lot closer after that year. After switching to hand holding long exposures for the carney and Christmas lights, I had great luck so I worked on that recently. I started out just after 7:00 in the evening but I only managed one of the last spots at the park.
This is like a box of chonklits; you never knows what you gits. After slipping this into Photoshop, I adjusted the exact perspective for better presentation but the EXIF reported 44mm so it was mid-zoom and big even though I see some degree of zoom. The coloration was untouched though I tried to maximize the light streaks. I didn't even need to jamb the color balance and pump the saturations. I left them untouched. Of course digital experimentation is cheap. I had fun shooting and they are a breeze to edit! I get mostly muted colors in the ag settings I shoot, so I revel in JUST COLORS. I spent hours giving this stuff titles.

First arrival at University Village QFC in Seattle on Sunday, December 1, 2019. Researchers at Washington State University developed the apples after more than 20 years. The first apple ever bred in Washington state, which produces about 60% of the nation's apples supply. Cosmic Cataclysm
An explosion of radiant energy, where light and shadow collide in a dance of creation. A vision of the universe in flux—chaotic, fierce, and infinitely alive.

This build is a threefold collab. BagelReborn has expertly designed the minifigure, I handled the build itself, and Leo1 created instructions. Make way for Galactus!

Virgin Orbit test flight of Cosmic Girl with its rocket attached under the left wing.
The plan is to launch a payload (Up to 500kg) into space by taking the rocket up with the donated 747 (From Virgin Airways), point the aircraft upwards towards space and launch the rocket. One trip around the World and then deploy the payload,
Sounds easy but it has yet to establish itself.
The rationale is that you dont need an air base, a launch pad or a big expensive rocket to get loads into space. This 747 can take off and land at any airport and without months of prior planning refuelling etc.
Lets see if it works and what impact it will have on the space delivery market.
ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer is suited, booted and ready for his Cosmic Kiss mission. As a member of US Commercial Crew-3 he will be launched to the International Space Station in a Crew Dragon spacecraft in around one month’s time for his first six-month stay in orbit.
Matthias is pictured in the SpaceX spacesuit that he will wear alongside his crew mates, NASA astronauts Kayla Barron, Thomas Marshburn and Raja Chari, during their journey to and from space.
Each SpaceX spacesuit is tailor-made for its wearer. The helmet is 3D printed and its gloves are designed to work with the touchscreens on board. The suit’s primary purpose is to protect astronauts from the unlikely event of depressurisation. However, it also helps regulate an astronaut’s body temperature and provides hearing and fire protection.
When an astronaut enters the Dragon capsule, they plug the suit into their seat using an umbilical. This provides the electronics to power communications, air to cool the suit and gas to pressurise the garment when needed.
This suit is only worn in the Crew Dragon capsule, not during spacewalks. Matthias is trained and certified in both the US Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU) and Russian Orlan spacesuits for any spacewalk he may perform in orbit.
Matthias will be launched from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida no earlier than Sunday, 31 October.
During his six-month mission known as ‘Cosmic Kiss’, Matthias will support numerous European and international experiments in microgravity. Knowledge gained as a result of his mission will shape the future of space exploration and help enhance life on Earth.
For more about Matthias and the Cosmic Kiss mission visit the dedicated page on this website or follow Matthias on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for regular updates.

Gently pulsing though the glitter like plankton these stunning Jelly Fish look like space faring starships on a long voyage though the cosmos. Their space of course is the Pacific Ocean and they are but one of the many amazing exhibits at California's premier Monterey Bay Aquarium. About the size of my hand, they moved quickly though the cylinder tank which added to the complexity of getting this shot.
A member of the White Spotted Jellyfish this particular species has a brilliant natural blue tint. The stinging tentacles varied from white to a yellowish tint. No doubt the bright spotted markings are telling potential predators that they might want
to rethink this as their lunch special.

Out in 86, the cosmic fleet voyager was my favourite set as a kid. Here is the front part of the ship. The Lab in the back will come later.

What a wonderful day this has been - I've had time to work on TWO pictures! Love it. : )
This flower had a very large spiky center with the distinct petals coming off it - it reminded me of a comet flying through space and the petals are like the ice trail.
Anyway, hope you like this cosmic comet flower. : )
This is my first ever post that knowingly has a nasty window violation (top right corner). I did not want to crop around it and eliminate the fantastic roof and stalactite on the top left of the image. If I were versed in stereomasken, this problem could be solved. Hey I know someone who does that very, very well!
To see this picture in 3D, sit 2-3 feet from the monitor and gently cross your eyes so that the two images become three. The one in the middle will be in 3D. If you are finding this difficult, you may be trying too hard. Viewing full screen is best.
