Close up crop of the hawk - love the eye. I think this shot shows that this hawk has some confidence.
This is a picture of my brother, Daniel, walking calmly across the finish line at the end of the relay race we ran for the Palmview Field Day in 2005. I don't think he was worried about losing :P

99% confident this jet is indeed ln 79 B-2729, although no one else seemed to capture it around this time. However, there were no other jets being rolled out around this time that looked like this and the dirt marks on this jet in this shot indicate it probably had been on the flightline for a few months, which matches the date when ln 79 was first spotted on the flightline.
These were the intended headshots for Mary's session, which ended up leading to the scary ones!
Strobist: I changed my usual set up for headshots bcos client wanted a bit of shadow/drama (a la Victorian Gothic) to showcase her hair. So I side-lit (unusual for beauty shot of young ladies) to add texture. Key is an AB600 with an octo on camera right (about 4'o'clock and just out of frame) at about f5. Hair light is a CTO-gelled AB400 with small shoot-thru umbrella, about a half stop brighter. I filled the shadows with a silver reflector in front-left. Background is lit with a gridded AB-400 from camera left, aimed behind her head.
If I was to shoot it again, I would have added a gridded frontal light to highlight the face... oh well, you learn!
