Young Dominicans have an air of confidence. That may be one thing that Major League Baseball scouts find so appealing.
Anemones must open up fully and show off their true colours in order to prosper. If they do not they won't be able to attract their prey and if this happens they will starve. We can all take a valuable lesson from this as if we in turn try to open up and be different we all have the ability to thrive.

Saw this moon in Knysna from my hotel room one evening. I know it's not the sharpest of shots but I love the mood of it. The clouds were moving swiftly over it and created extra shadows on the craters. It sat there in that stormy sky, so bold and confident and it made me wonder how many of us have to hang on whilst trying to weather a storm...
We lost 2 of our colleagues very unexpectedly last week and also buried an old friend yesterday. I'm thinking of their families tonight who have to weather the storm of emotions associated with having to say good-bye to a loved one. We don't always understand why. We can only wait, hoping & trusting that we will all find Peace before it's too late.

American Crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos)

This crow came right up to me, probably hoping I had food to give away. Sadly, I didn't. The crow didn't seem too disappointed, though the gulls that accompanied the crow did, being the mooches that they are.
Rita May went alone to prom this year. She had no date (her boyfriend is a sophomore) and did not travel with a passel of other kids. She enjoyed her time with friends dancing and hanging out when she got there.

For this series I knew that the overcast sky would mute the tone range of any images I took. So I was confident that in using 0EV as Zone 5 that I would be able to generate a decent image.
UTAC celebrated the 100 year anniversary of the opening of the circuit at Linas-Montlhery. I'd missed the Vintage Revival Montlhery event earlier this year due to a HUGE line of cars trying to get in that failed to move for over two and a half hours. So I was thrilled to find myself at the gate 10 minutes after they opened and to have a decent parking spot. The participant list was rather different than those who show up for the Vintage Revival (which was hosted by a different organization). Still, there were some wonderful cars and interesting people who showed up for Festival du Centenaire.
