The mornings have been cold. But then I think about the comforts I take for granted and count my blessings.
Made in drypoint etching with ink (A5)
These etchings were part of the same theme, "Comfort&Discomfort", as my large acrylic painting, where I explored the feeling of entrapment due to body dysmorphia. The etching on the right was created with dark green ink, onto a painted red sheet, where I left out hints of white to accentuate the highlights of the facial features, such as on the nose and forehead.
Comfort and Joy's cupcakes are a sugary hit of loveliness. Our cakes are made with the best ingredients and don't just look divine, they taste heavenly too.
For weddings, special occasions, to indulge others...or just yourself.

Till today the husb can crash at my parents’ place and sleep like a baby. Lol. I’m happy tau because where to get a man like that. Hehe. For him, where to get in laws like so chill lepak one corner (ok other than the fact that kita Melayu memang suka lepak one corner). Different ladies measure love differently, but for me, seeing him just treating the place where I used to grow up in just like his own is quite sweet because I know not all men can do that. You know what I mean. Aiya. But nothing beats having our own home still where we can golek-golek from one corner to the other. The only not so fun part is having to pay bills. Adulting. ❤️

I was recently sent on a challenge to go out and find twelve things that are pink, and capture them in a still frame. Before doing so, I decided I would call my new college to get some information I needed on something that is coming up. After going through several minutes of an automated phone system and pressing 1, 2, 3, and 4 I was transferred to the department I needed to reach. I was then put on hold for lord knows how long. As the soft hold music continued to play in my ear I realized it had been a terribly long time since I had gotten a good night sleep and after an hour and a half of being on hold I thanked the hold opperater for the most peaceful nap I've had in a long time. I then gave up on my quest to speak to the college, and started my quest of finding twelve suitable pink things to take photo's of.

This is where we had lunch...the Zenith which is a cafe located in an antique store. This is some of the lighting. Love it...so soothing and comforting. Duane and I split a Red Bean Jalapeno Burger and a Gouda and Apple Plate. Yummmmy.
