A sign of things to come as CD's Vectron 193 902 (named 'Evička') races through Ivanka pri Dunaji with late running EC 276 Budapest-Nyugati - Prague Metropolitan service. At this time the Eurocity services were increasingly in the hands of České dráhy's growing Vectron fleet as use of their Škoda-built tri-voltage class 380 locomotives diminished on the route.
The locomotive bears decals which refer to VUZ (Výzkumný Ústav Železniční), a raiway rolling stock testing centre near the village of Velim in the Central Bohemian Region, a location that 902 called home for a time prior to being purchased by the state carrier.
Fragment of the sculptural composition «Passengers», located near the Old station of Yekaterinburg.
Sculptor: Yury Krylov and Alexander Koroteev.
«Passengers» represent a family of father, mother and little child in the middle. It is evident that they are late for the train. the sunset
yes I'm hiding it
I'm afraid that when you see it
for the first time
you'll run from my darkness
After all the rain - a sunset. It is pretty much the same pose as this one but I shot it in different light :)
“ As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers,
Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew,
casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen.
He said to them,
“Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
At once they left their nets and followed him.
He walked along from there and saw two other brothers,
James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John.
They were in a boat, with their father Zebedee, mending their nets.
He called them, and immediately they left their boat and their father
and followed him.
He went around all of Galilee,
teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom,
and curing every disease and illness among the people.”

My Grandson waiting with me for his mum to come back from the shop. I would'nt mind we were just outside the shop
Day 334
We stood in a field, one where trees had been clear-cut and what remained was nothing more than what looked like some sad, ancient war zone. The grass was mostly dead, the dirt had gone from brown to gray, and the one tree that did still stand was bare and leaning like a creature over a small child's nightmare bed.
- John Corey Whaley, Where Things Come Back
That book is probably one of all-time favourites. I have been meaning to start a list but I am overwhelmed with my choices. I just started (and finished) Panic by Lauren Oliver and I loved it too. Aghh.
I probably won't take any incredibly creative pictures for the next few days, today I started this months round of treatment and I can already tell it's going to be rougher than usual. Then again, the fatigue could have something to do with spending the better part of last night hanging off the edge of a twin-mattress because both of sisters woke up with nightmares. I had one too, and their calling actually woke me up from it so I couldn't complain too much. It's strange how we are so alike but so very unique.
Anyways, I'm packing it in early tonight ;) See you tomorrow!

Old man spat and cursed as he spoke
It's all going to hell and the whole world is broken
The little kid is busy making plans
Save the whole world along with that old man
So as far as I can see
A better way for you and me
Is to let the children run the show
Not too long and we'll be good to go
All the girls and boys will sing
Come tomorrow we get everything
So as long as we survive today
Come tomorrow we gonna find a way
Yeah, as far as I can see
We should let the children lead the way
Bang bang you're dead nah you missed me for real
I got a bag to smoke come on let's make a deal
Yeah, bridges burn but tomorrow is another day
To feed the world and then go outside an play
Yeah farmers farm and dancers dance all night
Lovers love and the firefighters fight
Let the children run the show
Not too long and we'll be good to go
All the girls and boys will sing
Come tomorrow we get everything
So as long as we survive today
Come tomorrow we go and find a way
As far as I can see
We got to let the children lead the way
The storm will rise
Out of innocent skies
Times will change
When you let the children play the game
All the girls and boys will sing
Come tomorrow we fix everything
So as long as we survive today
Come tomorrow we gonna find a way
All the girls and boys will sing
Come tomorrow we get everything
So as long as we survive today
Come tomorrow we gonna find a way
Hey there, Flickr-verse!
Recently I was kind of greedy with updates, however I do have a cool excuse - I am currently on a reality TV show, will later do a blog about it.
I am happy to tell you that now I can finally hsare this image with you. Work created for Ilex Press's anthology of contemporary surrealists "Surreal Photography - Creating the Impossible", which will be available in spring 2013. Check the book out for some of the secrets and techniques that I use in my works will also be revealed in this book - there will be a step-by-step editing guide.

Somewhere, near the far distant horizon, the sun eases low behind the clouds. The light slides to grey, hinting at the inevitable blackness to come and the breeze takes on an edge of cold. There's nothing to do but wait.

Near Truro you'll find the small settlement of Come-to-Good. Here you'll find a farm, seven residential houses and this Quaker meeting house. Built in 1710 of cob, a mixture of sand, clay, water, straw and earth and it's thatched roof. It has been in constant use from that 1710 to present day. It was one of the first meeting houses built in Cornwall as a venue where Quakers could gather as they were not permitted to meet in public places. In 2010 it was renovated at a cost of £175,000.00 (281953.00 USD) 10 to 20 people still worship here each Sunday and the building attracts 3000 visitors a year. There has been much discussion about the origins of how the settlement came by it's name. For some time it was thought it derived from the supposed Cornish Cwm-ty-coit meaning "the coombe by the dwelling in the wood". However recent research discovered that the name "Come to Good" is not found as a name for the area until fairly late in the seventeenth century, after the arrival of the meeting place and much more likely to be an ironical reference to Friends and the Meeting.

I just love this song, been singing it all day <3
You got the kind of love that I want, let me get that.
And baby once I get it, I'm yours no take backs.
I'm gon' love you for life, I ain't leaving your side
Even if you knock it, ain't no way to stop it
Forever you're mine, baby I'm addicted, no lie, no lie.
I'm not too shy to show I love you, I got no regrets.
So baby whenever you're ready…
When you're ready come and get it
Na na na na
Na na na na
Na na na na
When you're ready come and get it
Na na na na
Na na na na
Na na na na
When you're rea-a-a-dy
When you're rea-a-a-dy
When you're ready come and get it
Na na na na
Na na na na
Na na na na...
Rumblemumbles came for dinner last night and as usual, couldn't contain her enthusiasm when I wanted her to just hold these red berries up for a shot.
Nice to see she was colour co-ordinated too.
Edit: Forgot to mention the berries are a decoration and not real.
Come On In challenge
And so here we come, to the end of the road, a long road in time and in miles, two years of driving, thousands of miles travelled and now we have the last Medieval Church on the list, Salle.
Salle church is ranked as Norfolk's finest church and its easy to see why, this Perpendicular giant sits almost by itself surrounded by fields, its majestic pinnacled tower rising above the trees, dwarfing all around, this tower can be seen for miles a statement from the mists of time of the hard work and money that was put into these wonderful buildings, but they are more than buildings, they are centres of the community the heart of the cities, towns and villages where they reside, and have done for hundreds of years, a place of hope for countless generations of normal working folk that have passed through their doors.
From the small ancient churches like the Norman wonder at Hales or the oldest church tower in England at East Lexham, to the majestic town churches of Cromer, Kings Lynn, Swaffham, Diss, North Walsham and Norwich's St Peter Mancroft, the Priory churches at Binham or Wymondham, the rustic thatched churches of Cranwich or Edingthorpe, each one of these churches are national treasures, to be used as they were intended and to be enjoyed by everyone.
Not all the churches were accessible, there is four in the battle area, off limits to almost everyone, i got a distant shot of one, but the others were substituted for Norwich Cathedral, Ruined St Benedicts and the Victorian classic Framlingham Pigot.
Salle church itself has it all, one of Norfolks tallest and finest west towers is a perpendicular wonder with a huge west window and crocketted pinnacles and battlements that are matched by the extensive flushworked crenellations around the nave and chancel roofs and north and south aisles, they are also on the north and south transepts and porches.
The church was built at the same time in the early 1400's with the top of the tower dating from 1511, all the windows are Perpendicular with an amazing 7 light east window in the chancel, a chancel which is as big as some churches, the windows being huge 3 light and made of clear glass, as are most of them, giving the interior a light airy feel to it.
The Clerestory is made up of six two light windows and sit atop the slender arcade arches between the aisles and nave, the south transept has a large 4 light south window, though the north transepts north window is blocked up.
The main entrance is via the fine west door beneath the beautiful 4 light west window in the tower.
