This little guy was about 40-50mm long and devouring my miniature Crocosmia. I touched one of the longer hairs around his head area which is why he's arched up.
Two mighty rhinos stand face to face, their massive horns touching in an unspoken moment of understanding. In the heart of Namibia’s wild landscapes, these ancient creatures embody resilience, strength, and a deep connection to their environment. A rare and breathtaking encounter with nature’s armored giants.

Close to nature
This was about as close as I wanted to get with these birds. There were thousands of them on a telephone pole near my house (Is it really a telephone pole anymore? I mean, who still has a landline? It's probably an electrical pole).
I shot this earlier in the week just in case I didn't have any other encounters with nature during the rest of the week. I tried! I looked for the eagles in my area, but the closest I could get was about 1/4 mile. I took some pictures of my Venus Fly Trap, but none of the leaves were open, so that was boring (FEEDMESEYMOUR!). I shot a horse show this weekend, but with horses not naturally occuring in the suburbs of Chicago, I figured that didn't really fit the theme. So, here we have some birds. On a wire. In nature. And I'm not getting any closer.
