AKA Indian Peafowl. There were about 3 peacocks roaming free about the organic farm. This one here perches on the roof of bird cage housing other birds, figuring what to do next.

I ran into this model in my backyard today. He seemed very unbothered by me sticking a camera lens right in his face. This was shot with my D90 through a 50mm 1.8 reversed with a Macro ring.
These small birds feed on tiny insects just above the grass. Their darting flight makes it very difficult to pan and focus. Kindly download the original size to see the insects.
This fella paces up and down our nature strip all the time. I have called him our honorary butler/guard.

The Blue-footed Booby (Sula nebouxii) from the Sulidae family, a long-winged seabird. The natural breeding habitat is tropical and subtropical islands off the Pacific Ocean, most famously, the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador.
Average size 32 in long and weighs 3.3 lb, the females slightly larger. Long pointed wings and a wedge shaped tail. They have strong, thick necks. The booby's eyes are placed on either side of their bill and oriented towards the front. They have excellent binocular vision and the eyes are yellow. The male has more yellow on its iris than the female. The Blue-footed Booby has permanently closed nostrils specialized for diving. They breathe through the corners of their mouths. Their feet range from a pale turquoise to a deep aquamarine. Males and younger birds have lighter feet than females do.
Blue-footed boobies are aptly named, and males take great pride in their fabulous feet. During mating rituals, male birds show off their feet to prospective mates with a high-stepping strut. The bluer the feet, the more attractive the mate.
Average lifespan in the wild: 17 years

Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree,
Merry merry king of the bush is he.
Laugh, Kookaburra, laugh, Kookaburra,
Gay your life must be!.
Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree,
Eating all the gum drops he can see.
Stop kookaburra, stop Kookaburra,
Save some there for me!
Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree,
Counting all the monkeys he can see.
Stop kookaburra, stop Kookaburra,
That's not a monkey, that's me!

Isn't that a fact...
Until this day, I was never successful in photographing this bird. Everytime I tried to get closer, it would just fly away... DUH..!!!!! But, on this day for some reason this little birdie perched on this twig and seemed to have found something it liked.. so, got a few shots and this one came out the best.
Yes, I did crop it a bit.. even at the longest zoom, couldn't get as close as I would've liked. Also, couldn't do much about eliminating the somewhat distracting background elements... and haven't developed that skill set in post processing either.
As always, your constructive criticism is always welcome. And, thanks for your visits and comments.
The Goldenrod is a bitter astringent and relaxant herb that reduces inflammation. However, this wasp here finds its pollen specially soothing.
Sun is a bit expose. I'm still learning to control the lighting hmmm... Happy with the sun ray though! :)
It is Sunday afternoon. Families come out with dogs and children but this Noisy Miner chooses to hide away...

This is my favourite of the series. The long shadows of a tall tree and the shorter ones by the stumps make this photo quite interesting and not boring to look at.
Vipera berus, the common European adder or common European viper, is a venomous snake that is extremely widespread and can be found throughout most of Western Europe and as far as East Asia. They are not regarded as especially dangerous; the snake is not aggressive and usually bites only when really provoked, stepped on, or picked up. Bites can be very painful, but are seldom fatal.
I'm never stimulated by the ideas, my art is the constant reflection of my perception. Sometimes Stimulated and sometime Virtual, but always its on my perception. May be depth is required to enable to quench the thirst.
