I decided to take a two day trip to Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge. Today I shot about 2500 frames. A long but exciting day. This is a shot from later in the day. Many shots to go through but I wanted to get something up from today's adventure. This cattle egret was perched in a pine tree just taking a break from everything...

This has been an unsuccessful courtship: all through the process the female (on the right) has raised her abdomen over her wings to deny the suitor's access to her genitals.
These 4 ducks are set to fly across the bay, whereas the little butterfly flies about 30 to 40 metres off-shore then turns back.
Because they are always in the trees and among leaves and blossoms, capturing them in flight is a challenge for me. I'll keep endeavouring...

This is a very small butterfly with a wingspan of 20mm for male and 23 mm for female.
