In The Clockwork Forest, we have created the first chapter of an untold fairy tale.
Just turn the key and the mechanical soundtrack will accompany your journey in to the forest.
Commissioned by the National Forestry Commission, this installation opened on the 7th October, 2011 in Grizedale, England.
This is what has been keeping me away from drawing this week - rebuilding from the pedals up an old clockwork Orange (1996 I think).
She now wears some lovely street slicks so I can blast around the roads. The old cantilever brakes take a bit of getting used to again (zero brake power compared to discs).
Even found some old ONZA bar ends.

The centerpiece of this strange plaza of Sanrio characters is this wind up Hello Kitty at one edge of the courtyard. A large winding key protrudes from her back, and her feet are reminiscent of one of those toys that bounce along your table 'till they fall on the floor and get eaten by the dog.
One of the best things about this plaza was watching the stream of Japanese tourists who came by to pose with all the Kitty statuary.
