clean the film advance knob. remove the set screw then unscrew the knob. (KEEP YOUR FINGER ON THE SPINDLE so it doesn't come out even a tiny bit or you'll regret it. There's a spring that keeps tension on the spindle so it won't wind backwards and it's a pain to install, at least it was on my Nicca.

the Timing Mechanism. I fixed the problem with my 1/500 and 1/1000 shutter speed. the post-stop for the closing curtain delay lever was loose. (red arrow) note the old dried grease (yellow arrow)
