After a summer of persistent wildfire smoke streaming in from western fires, the clear days are appreciated even more!

My mate bought the full topaz suite of programs but had already bought Topaz Clarity so gave me his first copy. This was my first play with it.

"Clarity comes from within" - Ruth Saw

For the Self Portrait Sunday theme Esoteric".

before this weekend (a couple of weekends ago now), i hadn't attempted to capture the fairy duster, so i figured if i took enough, one of them would look ok. i couldn't decide, though. i like this one, along with the other two, and all for very different reasons.

the "clarity" here is how this looks in the afternoon light.

My charism, the gift given me to give to the community, is my self, ultimately; my story given back, to give me a place in the net of exchange, the web of gifts, which is Christ’s church. My self is to be given away in love, not because it is worthless, but because it is supremely precious, given to me by the hand of God as he returns my memory. Out of my story, the Spirit of the risen Jesus constitutes my present possibilities of understanding, compassion, and self-sharing. My identity as lover in the community is uniquely coloured by the loves in which I have already struggled, failed, learned, repented: they are the reason for my present love being in this “key” or “mode” rather than that, the irreducible particularity of my gift.

-Rowan Williams, Resurrection: Interpreting the Easter Gospel, 2nd ed. (Cleveland: The Pilgrim Press, 2002), 38.

In the tapestry of life, it is often the stark differences that illuminate the path to understanding and enlightenment. Just as shadows define the brilliance of light, contrasting elements in our experiences bring forth a clarity that transcends the mundane. The interplay between joy and sorrow, success and failure, love and loss creates a narrative rich in texture and meaning.

It is through these sharp distinctions that we gain a profound understanding of ourselves and the world around us. In embracing the diversity of our journey, we discover that with great contrast comes great clarity, guiding us to appreciate the beauty in both the shadows and the light, fostering growth, resilience, and a deeper connection to the essence of our existence.

Or do we just see what we want to regardless of the truth of the matter?

Sometimes you just need to clear your head and let the fog lift.

Amid the hustle and bustle of life, peace can be found, if you let it.

Have A Wonderful Day, My Dear Friends!

Although the thick clouds are covering most of the sky. But the sunset colour are still able to project on to the clouds. Adding some sweetness to the violence / dramatic dark clouds formation.

And just to clarify that, "Supreme Clarity" is talking about the clear lake!!! :)

When light catches the droplets and holds them ever so slowly.

Mt Hood after sunset.

Photography is all about waiting for the right time and this image justified that. We had pretty awesome light during sunset, but with Mt Hood hidden behind the cloud, the scene was much less interesting.

The light was fading fast and I was about to leave, but on a second thought, I told my self that I might better wait another while to see if I could get some luck. And, the luck was right there: Mt hood revealed herself for about 10 minutes while there was still a bit of light and I had never seen the mountain with such clarity. I hope you also enjoy this : )

Thanks for looking!

Full moon sky today. Fields of Coruche, Portugal

www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4UOo-E2Auw

..........................................................................................................................................................................

The full moon occurs when the Moon lies on the opposite side of Earth from the Sun. The moon as seen from the surface of the earth is fully illuminated by the sun at this time, presenting a "full" round disc to viewers on earth. As always, only half the total surface of the moon is illuminated.

The full moon reaches its highest elevation at midnight

A full moon is the only time when a lunar eclipse is possible; at that time the moon may move through the shadow cast by the earth. However, because of the tilt of the moon's orbit around the earth relative to the earth's orbit around the sun, the moon may pass above or below the shadow, so a lunar eclipse does not occur at every full moon.

Not the most dramatic or hard earned shot of the weekend in Snowdonia, as this was taken from one of the paths up Snowden, but the pre-dawn light was sublime.
