Der historische Triebwagen CFe 2/2 Nr. 4 der Forchbahn (Baujahr 1912) zu Gast beim Tram Museum Zürich am 25. April 2011.
Das Streckengleis vor dem Tram Museum Zürich ist nicht nur Teil des Netzes der Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich (Linie 11), sondern wird auch fahrplanmässig von der Forchbahn befahren. Früher trugen die Fahrzeuge der Forchbahn die Linientafel F. Heute ist die Forchbahn ein Teil des S-Bahn-Netzes (S18 Bahnhof Stadelhofen-Esslingen).

Still walking along, the geep pair are pushed to their absolute limits making this train up the hill. They made it, but very slowly. Not bad for a 50 and 53 year old doing the work.

An afternoon FWCH manifest makes some noise through all the crossings in downtown on the former PRR Pittsburgh-Chicago main with an old CNW GP38-2 and CP SD40 for power.

CHFW gets rolling after waiting for CN traffic at Ivanhoe. The train will cross over from the east end of the Gary & Western on the IHB to the CSX Porter Branch for a few miles before taking a connection at Tolleston to ultimately reach CF&E trackage.

The former C&O Searchlight at Hanna has since gotten a fresh coat of paint on this April day as IORY 4036 crosses on its way West of the former PRR mainline.
A short afternoon CHFW is powered by an SD40-2 and a GP38M-3 past the 424 mile marker on the old PRR PC main.

With only 8 powered axles and over 8500 tons of Fort Wayne bound manifest in tow, train CHFW slips and claws rain slicked rails, making for an extremely slow move in downtown.

CF&E CHFW passes the signal at County Line in Hobart, Indiana on May 29, 2023. This was the PRR Ft. Wayne Lines eastward main 1, just to my left a couple of hundred feet or so was the one time division point between the Chicago Terminal and Ft. Wayne Divisions at East Bart, Mile Post 433. The track in the foreground is a conecction between the CFE and the NS Chicago District (NKP) put in when NS owned the ex PRR across Indiana in the 1990s.
