Today's instalment in Commie lenses is the Carl Zeiss Jena BIOTAR 58mm f2. Emphasis has been placed on the aesthetic of the bokeh (out of focus areas)

COMMUNIST CAMERA MONTH LENS TESTS
This is another post-communism Russian lens. The lens had a loose infinity stop and was difficult to focus so I mostly shot it for extremely out of focus bokeh photos. The doughnut shaped bokeh is typical of catadioptric (mirror) lenses.
