Finally caught a Hummingbird in action ~ He is feeding on the Nectar of those green flowers from a giant succulent 's spike ~ San Diego ~ California ~ USA ~
Picture the scene.
It's a lovely evening. A redshank is sitting on a wall, curiously watching a photographer adjust his settings, so he can take it's picture.
Suddenly, overhead this happens, giving the photographer no chance to put his settings back to where they were.
The barnie was hunting up by the upper barn. However curiously he took his catch down the hill away from the barn.
Is he the upper barn male or a new bird perhaps. Concensus suggests it is the upper barn pair, but they have moved home due to kestrel issues. Time will perhaps tell.

The American Kestrel will often hover before making the dive to capture his prey. They are such a beautiful bird of prey but difficult to capture because they are very timid and they move so quickly . You just have to look at them and they are gone. I was so happy to see him with his fanned tail spread and wide open wing span. !!! Natures is so beautiful and so interesting. It never disappoints !!!
Wishing you an awesome and blessed day !
Whoops, she caught me trying to get some images today of activity in Laurie Park. She gave me a nice smile when realizing I'm harmless.

āThere are a hundred things she has tried to chase away the things she won't remember and that she can't even let herself think about because that's when the birds scream and the worms crawl and somewhere in her mind it's always raining a slow endless drizzle.ā

Someone always dies. Someone is always left behind. Someone is always caught between worlds.ā
