This little structure at the back of the garden of Palazzo Lezze is a former "casino". It was renovated inside a few years ago with an ultra modern interior in which a mezzanine floor was inserted. All the renovations were done without touching the original walls of the structure. The facade got a new layer of stucco; but it only lasted a season before it peeled off the lower section where water seeped up through the bricks. ..... ..... ..... architizer.com/projects/casin-di-palazzo-lezze/
Château Deganne à Arcachon (France). Il abrite aujourd'hui le casino et le palais des Congrès de la ville.
Il est construit en bordure de plage en 1853 par Adalbert Deganne, futur maire de la ville. De style néo-Renaissance, il est conçu sur le modèle du château de Boursault (1843-1848), en Champagne, là où réside son amour de jeunesse, qu'il n'avait pas pu épouser en raison de leurs différences de conditions sociales.
Désormais riche et puissant, Adalbert Deganne souhaite offrir le château à l'empereur Napoléon III lors de sa visite à Arcachon en 1859, qui aurait refusé en raison des coûts d'entretien. Adalbert Deganne n'y vit pas, préférant résider à proximité, villa Saint-Georges.
Il y reçoit cependant des invités, organisant aussi de somptueuses réceptions : en l'honneur d'Adolphe Thiers en 1875, du maréchal de Mac Mahon, président de la République, en 1877. Il rassemble aussi dans ses salons une importante collection de tableaux, acquis principalement aux Salons de Paris et de Bordeaux.
À la mort d'Adalbert Deganne, sans descendant, le château est au cœur des discussions autour de son testament. Finalement vendu en 1903, il est converti en casino. Réquisitionné pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il est transformé en caserne et fortement dégradé. Restauré après la guerre, il redevient un lieu de jeux et de spectacles, et voit passer de nombreuses célébrités venues se produire à Arcachon.
Depuis l'incendie du casino Mauresque en 1977, le château Deganne est le seul casino d'Arcachon.

A special atmosphere at this slightly dilapidated but still grand ex-casino complex, located way out in the Italian countryside, a peace and quiet had settled over the place that made exploring it quite magical. This is a crumbling corridor that flanked an open courtyard with tall palm trees.
The new Star Casino seems to be attracting many locals as well as international guests of late . It's an interesting complex of two towers supporting an arced Sky Deck as its called , 100 Mts above the streets below , offering fabulous 360 degree views above the Brisbane River and to the west . The place is loaded with bars and restaurants as to be expected with a venue of this type . So its the place to go and enjoy a little and see how the other half live or appear so and because of such will attract many a photographer .

@Fotosöndag: Vad roligt det verkade med ett så fritt tema som "filmtitel". Men det blev en större utmaning än jag från början trodde, eftersom kreativiteten inte riktigt infann sig. Till slut tänkte jag tvärtom: vad har jag lust att ta kort på, som sedan går att koppla till en film. Blixtsnabbt dök en kortlek upp i huvudet på mig, och det finns ju mängder med filmer med pokertema eller som har anknytning till Las Vegas. Mest nöjd är jag med att jag fick med ett hjärta i bilden såhär på Alla Hjärtans Dag :). Happy Valentine allihopa!
