Joining the 12 month group this year with Cash who for those who don't know us is my nearly 4 year old Hovawart. He's such a goofy, loveable, boy. Very switched on and clever and loves to play! I've lacked inspiration & motivation the past year or so, only uploading very sporadically so am hoping to kick start my love of photography back up this year and in the hopes of learning about my camera in more detail too.
It was departing as DAT605 (1263343 Alberta Inc., doing business as Lynx Air) to Orlando, Florida.
The company was originally known as Enerjet. It was rebranded as Lynx Air on November 16, 2021 and began operating as such on April 7, 2022. Lynx Air was the latest Canadian ultra low-cost carrier (ULCC) to enter the fray and operated nine MAX 8s.
On February 22, 2024, the company announced that it would cease operations at 2:01AM (Eastern Standard Time) on February 26, 2024. All nine Lynx Air MAX 8s were parked at Calgary, Alberta on that day.
Cash became very, very ill 48 hours ago. I took him to the vet yesterday morning. After blood work and x-rays... Cancer. He was bleeding internally and had a mass in there. I had to put him to sleep. He was 7 years old. I was devastated. I'm still in shock. I was not expecting this because he was acting normal just the morning before. It seem to come out of nowhere...
I brought him home afterwards and let my other two dogs sniff him outside, so they don't think he just disappeared. It seemed to help them both. I then asked my friend and neighbor, Jim, if he could help me bury him in the garden.
It will be nice to see the flowers over him in the spring.
... and it happened on my other dog, JJ's birthday. Ugh...
This is a repost and reedit of one of my favorite pics of him. He will be missed...

I had the honor to meet, interview, and take pictures of Johnny Cash in the 80's while working as a photojournalist for the Tampa Tribune newspaper. Johnny and his wife June were doing a benefit concert in Pasco County, FL, a place they called their second home. This is a head shot that I took and developed in the darkroom.
What an amazing memory.
Taken back then with a Nikon FE and Nikkor 180 2.8.
I shot a picture of the original with my D7200.
12 years ago today (9/12), Johnny Cash died at age 71.
Mit diesen Worten begrüße der größte Country & Folk Sänger immer seine Zuschauer und Zuhörer.
Heute vor 14 Jahren, am 12. September 2003 starb Johnny Cash in Nashville. Mitten in Downtown von Nashville gibt es seit einigen Jahren Das Johnny Cash Museum - für Cash Fans ein absolutes MUSS! Die Aufnahme entstand an der Rückseite des Museums auf einem abgelegenen Parkplatz.
This was a pawn shop turned restaurant, which closed in 2020. Good thing Slow's is still there. Hopefully, the chito expires soon so we can return.

January 23, 2016: This week's #FlickrFriday theme is money. I'm using that theme for today's photo.
I have quite a few piggy banks in my collection. For me, piggy banks equate money. In this particular bank, I've stuffed left over cash into it. The money is already spent in my budget, but it helps in terms of a rainy day fund.

A shot from the Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art. This exhibit "Brazilian Bank" by Meschac Gaba centred around the display of banknotes of various colours and nations. The colour and array of mixed bills was unusual so I took a few shots, trying to isolate the notes in the foreground will retaining some information about what was going on behind.
Just a quick image wandering through the outer suburbs of the city on my way to basketball. Fuji 10-24mm F4.0.
I was a bit bored tonight so I took some creative license with the sign. A little bit of content aware fill, a little bit of cut and paste and the sign is more reflective of the appearance of this business...
It's been a while since i've posted anything... took most of May to travel... now i'll spend much of June finally posting everything.
....this shot was taken at the local shopping centre when I went to pick up my daughter from work. There was no-one around and while I was sitting, waiting for her I stuck my purse on the ground - and took this shot - how weird is that!
Lots of American money
